What to Expect
Our distillery door is nestled within Glenferrie House. We’re delighted to offer tasting flights of our gins, individual drinks, or samples of our “works in progress.” If something catches your fancy, you’re welcome to purchase our gins at distillery-door prices, including exclusive distillery-only releases.
In winter, enjoy our cosy combustion heater; in summer, tastings are available on our veranda overlooking a beautiful garden with over 40 varieties of roses. The garden supplies many of the garnishes and botanicals used in our gin.
We also feature an art gallery with a rotating display of works available for purchase.
Events
Our distillery door hosts a gallery, and we proudly participated in the 2024 SALA Festival. Visitors are welcome to view our current exhibition, including works by Liza Merkalova, whose art adorns our bottles.

A History of Glenferrie House
Built in 1902 by Henry Davis, Glenferrie House remained with the Davis family until 1980. Henry Davis owned large chaff mills in Riverton and Tarlee, and Glenferrie was the first house in Riverton to be lit by gas. It later housed its own electricity plant, illuminating the house, private street lights along Torrens Road, and Frederick Place, where the chaff mill and office—still visible on Frederick Place—were located.
The house was constructed by JT Quinn of Hamley Bridge, with carpentry by William Cairns. JT Quinn was a significant figure in the lower Mid-North region, responsible for constructing notable buildings, including the original Hutchinson Hospital in Gawler.
William Cairns emigrated from Scotland for health reasons and settled in Riverton. His son, Sir Hugh Cairns KBE, became a renowned neurosurgeon and the first Nuffield Chair of Surgery at Oxford University in 1937. Sir Hugh was a strong advocate for motorcycle helmet use following his treatment of T. E. Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia), who succumbed to injuries from a motorcycle accident.
We are the ninth owners of this beautiful house.
