The Hornstar is a dynamic 9-piece funk band known for their big, brassy, and bold sound, drawing inspiration from jazz, blues, soul, and reggae. Formed in 2016, the band has released two albums: their self-titled debut The Hornstars in 2020, and Half Way There in 2022. AMRAP’s Cameron Mengoni has described them as “a big band with a big future,” a fitting endorsement of their growing impact on the music scene.
